Hering Berlin

Founded by master ceramicist Stefanie Hering, the brand develops limited and context-driven works that explore the cultural significance of objects through material precision and spatial composition.

For Salone Raritas 2026, Hering Berlin presents EQUINOX I, a site-specific collectible installation created in collaboration with Austrian artist Hans Weigand. Conceived as a coherent spatial environment, the work brings together image, object and light in a non-serial installation addressing collectors, institutions and curatorial platforms.

Collectible design, as we understand it, begins where function ends. With EQUINOX I, archetypal forms – table, plate, light – are distilled and rearticulated as carriers of ritual and image. At Salone Raritas, the focus shifts from production to singularity. These are not iterations, but authored works defined by material precision, restraint and narrative depth. In this context, design approaches art and art becomes an experience shaped by intimacy, tactility and permanence.
